Her Smile

From smiles to frowns
The moods change quick
She weeps and cries
I hug and sigh
Unable to soothe
Frustrations ensues
Inadequacy pursues
What do I do?
I hush and lull
Her cries increase
Defeated, I begin to weep
Frustration ensues
Inadequacy pursues
Am I a good mother?
Her brief smile soothes
