What are Naps?

I was going to post about breastfeeding weaning and the effects it has on a mother, but I think I’ll save it for another day. Frankly, I am too mentally exhausted to even focus on writing that blog post.

Valeria had a bit of a rough day, taking mini naps throughout the day. I told my husband maybe we should go for a drive to 1. Get out of the house and 2. Try and get her to sleep, since car rides always work.

So we went, I picked a place that was closed….sigh….but the drive helped. She was a bit fussy at first but she grabbed my finger and held it until she fell asleep and even then she wouldn’t let go. My poor baby wants to be held and cuddled for naps, she wants that physical touch to know we are there. I am not complaining, it makes me feel how much she loves me in her way.

Most the day was spent with her; mainly trying to get her to sleep even a bit, with playing and reading to her thrown in between. She finally went down at around 10:30 tonight, hence the late post.

But I think my husband and I are going to relax before crawling into bed. Hopefully we can go to the pioneer village for our winter walk tomorrow.

Have a good day or night wherever you are in the world!

Ciao!!

  1. I had a bit of a rough day yesterday too. Olívia doesn’t want to be put down at all and Dalila is throwing major tantrums about everything. We both need a nap, don’t we? 😂
