We’ve been staying with my mother-in-law for the weekend, we always stay here whenever we are in my husband’s home town. And she has had this Mickey Mouse since Christmas I believe.
Valeria has been obsessed ever since she could see it. She has since added Minnie Mouse to the crew, on a much smaller scale.
But Valeria now stares at them and just laughs, tries to bite his nose (cause everything needs to be “eaten”) and just loves to topple into him. It’s quite funny to watch how excited she gets about playing with the stuffed toys.
So, I’ve made the very VERY early decision to theme her first birthday as a Vintage Mickey and Minnie Mouse theme. I’ve already started my search for decorations, it’s gonna be tough to find the vintage looking stuff. But I’m up for the challenge and so excited! May even attempt to make some of my own decorations…maybe.
Inspiration can be found anywhere, just have to notice the signs!

Mama on the Move 
I love the theme!! To be very honest, I used to HATE Disney stuff lol absolutely hated it when people would gift us Disney stuff for Dalila, until she got this dancing Minnie Mouse last year and became obsessed with her. At first, she couldn’t even say Minnie so she called her something like “Meema”. She calls her Mimi now and constantly wants to watch her show when she’s allowed screen time. We watch a lot of Mickey Mouse Fun House around here, unfortunately. Mickey’s voice is just so annoying so avoid it as long as you can 😂

haha I loved Disney as a kid, but I mean I’m old school and love old Disney. But I think it’s so cute that Dalila calls Minnie – Mimi. That just melts my little heart!! I didn’t even know they had a dancing Minnie Mouse doll – shows how behind on the times I am 🤣 But I don’t have a problem so much with Mickey, it’s Donald Duck I CAN NOT stand. He drives me bonkers when she watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. So I feel your pain 🤣 🤣

Honestly, that’s probably my least favorite thing about being a mom. The constant cartoon repetition! Dalila is OBSESSED with watching the same episodes over and over again. If you ever have to come visit me at the loony bin, this is what did me in 😂😂😂
Not sure if you have better places to shop for party supplies but check out Temu and SHEIN. And Pinterest is really good for inspiration. If you don’t find much, my advice is to throw in plenty of balloons of the theme colors 😂 I look forward to seeing the party decorations and FOOD 🤤

Oh I didn’t even think about SHEIN as an option, though the thought did cross my mind for Temu. I have been looking on Etsy as well, but Pinterest is definitely my go to for inspiration. Speaking of parties, how is Dalila’s birthday plans coming along?

Slowly 😂 I’m still debating whether I should just buy the decorations or go the DIY route. I’ll probably end up buying everything because I’m both a little craft challenged and pressed for time lol she definitely won’t care if the decorations are store bought

Oh my goodness no! She won’t mind at all, she will just be thrilled it’s her birthday. I’m sure you can find a bunch of cute store bought decorations for the cat theme, then throw up streamers and balloons and there you go! Plus, even if you are crafty, my dear when do you have the time with the two girls lol I’m going to wait till Valeria is a bit older to start attempting to craft party decorations I’m gonna be honest 😂
