Have you ever been camping?
Intriguing question…
Have I been to the middle of nowhere in a vast, gorgeous forest filled with stunning and potentially deadly animals to camp…no. I’m adventurous to a point, but I wouldn’t go that far. My husband however wouldn’t hesitate to rough it for a week or two though.
No my camping experience was a little different, my parents would take us camping at camp grounds when we were kids. We rented our designated site, set up our tents, set up a tent to eat under (who wants bugs in their food and mosquitos nipping at their skin all the time…yuck!) and my dad brought his makeshift camping grill. There were even public bathrooms and showers you would use. All very “lavish” if you ask anyone who really roughs it and camps out.
But sadly I haven’t been in years and there are times I truly miss it. Now that we have a kid, we may have to make camping trips a family activity again. Wouldn’t that be fun and nostalgic!
Ciao!

In my childhood I joined a comping it was very enjoyable. 😊😊

It sounds like you were being sensible and just going with the good parts of camping and avoiding the bad – no one goes camping for the opportunity to go to the bathroom in the tree line! I’ve been camping a few times and once spent a long weekend trying to figure out where the cricket that kept chirping throughout the night was in my tent. I finally found him as we packed up and let him go free – I hadn’t the heart to harm my old bunk mate!

The cricket just wanted to be your camping buddy and make beautiful music for you in the evenings, however he didn’t realize how annoying that can also be lol But it was very sweet of you to let him go, I would have done the same thing! And yes, I have no desire to pee in a bush if I can help it 🤣
